Sound reduction for a heat pump is a challenge. A delicate balance must be maintained between sound reduction and respecting the air flow of the unit.
Our acoustic boxes have been tested by LNE, the French National Laboratory of Metrology and Testing, and an average reduction of 7dB was observed under the most common setup.
Furthermore, our boxes are designed to reduce the highest sound pressure from a unit, which is generated by the compressor on the right side of the device. To address sound from the fan, adding a Prima Plus acoustic wall is recommended.
- Soundproof polyethylene panels, 50mm thick.
- Closed-cell polyethylene foam specifically designed for outdoor applications. The foam is flame-resistant, tested to B1 according to DIN 4102.
